Thursday, May 31, 2007 It has been a long time since I partied. Since today is a holiday, decided to meet Florence and Phyllis to go clubbing last night. It was perfect for Phyllis as it is the June holidays now and she is not teaching. Also, all of us have not partied for a while together, so it would be pretty enjoyable. In any case, we went to Clarke Quay last night, to this club called The Clinic. The music was quite good and fortunately, we managed to find a table and seats. Had Vodka Cranberry, a bottle of Moet Rose, Lychee Martini and a Mojito. The Mojito was not as nice as some latin clubs. Oh well, afterall, Clinic is not exactly a latino club. Oh, did I mention that I managed to smile my way to get the bartender to give me 3 lychees in my Martini? Haha. He was frowning and saying no, could not give me more than 1 lycee. Oh well, 3 lychees were just nice, 1 each for myself, Phyllis and Florence. Expectedly, I was kinda intoxicated by the high alcohol intake but not pissed drunk to the extent that I fell asleep. I was aware of my surrounding and was really trying to dance off the exhilarated feeling. It certainly didn't help that some stupid guys were trying to hit on me. There was this boyish looking guy who offered me his jug of god-knows-what but I rejected his "kind" offer. However, I lamented something like he looked younger than my younger brother. Then he got really agitated and kept telling me he was 28. He basically kept dancing up to me and telling me he was 28 and not young like I imagined him to be. Oh please, do I look like I give a damn? Please grow up, kid. Then there was this guy at the next table who kept telling me he was shy but would like to watch me dance instead of dancing with me. Shy, my foot. Oh, and his friend was such a seasoned player, telling me how hot I was and he only had eyes for me. Yah right. *YAWNZ* There were a few others and I basically was not very friendly. Think Phyllis would agree with me on that. My words to these men were always dripping with sarcasm. Ouch. Well, I can't help it. All I want is to have fun with my GAL friends and not get chatted up by nincompoops. Both Phyllis and Florence brought their cameras and we took quite a few pictures.   Nice digicam and pretty in red!        OMG! We are drinking blood!      STOP drooling!          Oh, special thanks to Anthony for coming down to fetch drunkard me. Haha. Phyllis was sober and called Anthony on my mobile phone while I was half pissed. And dear Anthony was home already but flew down in 20 minutes to come send both of us home. Phyllis was just telling me just now that I kept sprouting nonsense while in the car. Florence met her ex-colleague there and Phyllis told me that this ex-colleague sent Florence home. By the way, Kenneth came down to the club to look for me last night after his movie. He did not even inform that he would be coming and by the time he called and Phyllis answered my phone, he was already at Clarke Quay and wanted to send us back. By then, we were already waiting for Anthony. So, half drunk as I was, I still thanked Kenneth for coming and told him I was alright. I even bade him goodbye! :) It was quite a night and we all had lotsa fun. When I spoke to Anthony this afternoon, I was really laughing.
Hmm, maybe I should just buy him a carton of plastic bags to put in his car to standby. Haha! Labels: Clubbing, Friends, Gathering Tuesday, May 29, 2007 It is closing today and I believe that we did hit our target. Was a mad rush today but did manage to leave office slightly before 7pm to meet an old friend, Peter, for dinner. It has been a while since I met him and I do feel bad for always rejecting lunch appointments with him as I am usually tied up with work. Anyway, I had wanted to eat something soupy but he wanted to have BBQ Steamboat. I was not so thrilled as I know it will make my hair, clothes and body stink after that. In any case, we still went and I did not eat much. Not sure what is wrong with me of late but I don't have much appetite lately. Whether I am having some simple fare or some delicacy, I have no special liking or satisfaction after the meal. The following scenario is quite common of late. Oh, it's meal time... I am hungry, I need to eat. Hmm, so what should I eat? Oh ok, craving for this particular food. I will go eat and during the meal, though it's something I wanted to eat, I don't feel too thrilled about it. Then after the meal, I will just be glad that I am not super full but just nice. Having mentioned all that, it doesn't mean I am losing weight cos I am eating less. I still continue my fair share of chocolates or ice-cream. I just hope that I will start liking or craving for normal food soon. I suspect it is because I have not been pushing myself hard enough physically. As in, I should be exercising more rather than just dancing and inline skating. I have been wanting to start swimming again and better get down to it. I don't wanna just say and not act on it. Discipline and time is all I need. Yes, I shall do that and crunches too. Looking forward to a more toned body! Hopefully with more physical strain on my body, my appetite will be back. I naturally have a healthy appetite and I love food. Have never gone on a diet and don't intend to stop liking food too. Guess I will just monitor and see how things go. Perhaps for a start, can start asking Mummy to cook my favourite food then I will start craving once more. Hmm, I sure miss my healthy appetite! Labels: Work Sunday, May 27, 2007 It has been a lousy weekend. Missed my Latin Cha Cha on Saturday morning because I overslept then it was drizzling at noon, hence I skipped Inline Skating class. Basically, was just slacking my Saturday away. Was emotionally unstable because of someone too and this emotional turbulence continued till today. Anyway, wanted so much to go for the morning Inline Skating class but could not wake up in time. Slept at 3am and just could not pull myself out of bed at 8am. In any case, I did Inline Skate at noon and cleared the lesson. Unfortunately, clumsy me did not clear the Evaluation for Level 1, hence could not move on to Level 2 next week. Got to re-take my Evaluation again. Boohooo! Phyllis was very sweet to meet me this afternoon before Inline Skating lesson to accompany me. Spoke to her on my emotional state and felt better after that. Anyway, I did what I should have done As I signed up for the 1-month unlimited Inline Skating lessons which would have expired next week, Francis was sweet enough to wanna continue another 1-month with me. However, after next week, we would have a 1-week break where I can go do my hair and manicure+pedicure while Francis will be going to Tioman. I am getting excited at the thought of moving into another level of Inline Skating. To make things more fun, we are finally starting with Tango again on 17 June. It has been nearly 2 months and I am really looking forward to Ballroom Dancing again. Latin Cha Cha and Latin Samba have been fun but Tango will be totally different. Equally, if not more challenging too. Well, it has been a really sucky weekend and I know my emotional state will continue to be bad for the next one week. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to the upcoming planned activities I will be having. Oh yah, did I mention that I may be starting diving in 2 months time? Hmm, that is if my budget allows. Labels: Shopping Wednesday, May 23, 2007 It was a slow day at work except that my boss commented something about my working ability that I was insulted and hurt. Sometimes, I wonder if my boss means what he says as I have seen quite a few occasions where he just spoke without much thought, in casual conversations of course. On a happier note, I met Alex for movie after work. Went to Gelare for waffle ice cream before catching french film Priceless (Hors de Prix) which stars the lovely Audrey Tautou.  This romantic comedy is certainly worth watching and I thoroughly enjoy it. Even for guys who are not into romantic comedy, Audrey is such an eye candy that you have every reason to catch it. Oh yah, got to thank Alex for his great company too! :) Labels: Movie Monday, May 21, 2007 Work was really busy today and it did not help that I could not reach one of my colleagues to get the information I wanted for consolidation. Was also trying to work out this month's production target as my direct superior was not around. She is serving her resignation notice now and I think very much in switch-off mode already. Was feeling a little down today and did not want to stay late. Left office with lotsa outstanding work untouched to meet a friend in town so that she can pass me something. Feeling a little moody after meeting her, I ended up shopping at DFS and got myself a new Coach Signature Beaded Mini Skinny purse, within 15 minutes.  This is in brown. The one I brought is in biege.
Now, that's what I call hot!  I love the cut!  Because I am very fair, I got this in black. Love the eyelet behind! Labels: Shopping Saturday, May 19, 2007 As usual, went for Inline Skate in the morning followed by Latin Cha Cha then Inline Skate again at late noon. Was actually looking forward to going out tonight but well, things do not always go the way we plan. I had thought that we could meet up about 7.30pm to have dinner but in the afternoon, he told me 8pm. Fine, then at about 7.30pm, he texted me that we could only meet at 9pm. I was really hungry. I am anaemic. If I don't eat, I will feel faint. I knew that I could not wait till 9pm so I replied him that we would meet another day when he can be more free and perhaps, stick to his promised time. And strangely, he just got angry at me and said not to meet ever again. I was totally shocked and asked what was up with him but he just mentioned not to spoil both our weekend and to just enjoy my dinner. Now, this is really appalling. I know that he has committments and did not complain when he postponed the time to 8pm. But now that he could not make it at 9pm, was it wrong of me to think of my health and go ahead for dinner myself? I don't like arguments or fights. His sudden mood change scares me. He said before that I am very temperamental. I admit that sometimes I am. But today, in the earlier scenario, I was not even throwing any temper. I just did not want to end up fainting like I did before, from hunger, simply cos I am anaemic and I have a low sugar count. He mentioned over sms (after I said something on MSN which he found really rude) just a few days ago that I always think of people hurting me but not when I hurt people. I admit that sometimes I can be insensitive but more importantly, I think sms and MSN are very bad communication medium and can cause misunderstandings easily. I prefer to talk, especially when I want to bring my point across properly, without people thinking that I am insinuating otherwise. Now, just thinking back about earlier and also what he had mentioned a few days ago, I am starting to wonder if I am really such a prick that friends dislike me so much. I don't treat many guys as good friends, so when they feedback anything to me, I really will take them as genuine comments and try to change for the better if I can. It's true that I think too much at times. However, this time round, perhaps it is really true that he doesn't ever want to see or hear from me anymore. I never like to be deemed as a pest and perhaps family committments made him react so. Nonetheless, perhaps I really should just stop contacting him as he had wished. Oh well, though there aren't many guys that I enjoy going out with, I can always go out with my ever-so-busy gal friends. Yah, think I shall do so and enjoy myself instead of feeling so clueless on why someone is mad at me on a weekend. Time to get myself busy! Now, that reminds me, I am currently looking for kaki to go hiking and swimming amidst my Inline Skate and Latin Dances. ANYONE keen?!?
Friday, May 18, 2007 I snuggled up to him and my head ended up comfortably on his broad shoulders. As I ran my fingers effortlessly across his chest, a sense of familiarity struck me. Although much tanner now, it was still the same toned bod and firm shoulders. He held me closer, this time gently laying my head on his chest. I could hear the rhythmic beat of his heart. A tinge swept across me whenever he glided his fingers up my arms.
It had been such a long time. So long that I almost forgot how safe it felt in his arms. My left hand trailed its way to his face while I gazed up at his boyish looks. I wondered, how could I have forgotten that cute grin and those eyes which blazed with such intensity. He asked, "What are you staring at?" "Nothing," I whispered and broke into a smile. "Good night." And I slept, with his arms around me, cuddling me. Hmm, it is so nice having someone tucking me in to bed. But I know, that I won't be seeing him again, at least not until a long time later. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 Well, have been delaying for too long. I spent the last few days putting up my Ho Chi Minh Trip entries and now they are finally up. Yes, I know the trip is in December last year and is long overdue. Better late than never right? Will try to get the pictures for my Cameron Highland trip in August and blogged about it too. But because pictures not with me, it will be quite tough. I will try ya? Anyway, back to me, not much update last few days. Work as normal and looking forward to Latin Cha Cha and Latin Samba on Thursday. Not forgetting Inline Skate over the weekend too. Err, yes, I know I lead a boring life. Don't remind me k! BOOOHOO!!! Labels: Vietnam Monday, May 14, 2007 Monday, 25 December 2006 - One-Day Mekong Delta It was an early start with the bus leaving at 7.45am for My Tho, where we took a motorboat and sampan to the orchard islet where all the tropical fruits could be found and tasted.   
  The tour guide kept asking me to hold it which I REFUSED profusely!  We were then brought to an eating place for tropical fruits. There was even a music treat from the host... 
 Sunday, 24 December 2006 - Christmas Celebration Because Liberty 4 Hotel was just 5 minutes walk away from our hotel, Liberty 3, there was a Christmas party held there for in-house guests. on Christmas Eve. And so Mummy and I went.
