As if the haze is not bad enough, dear National Parks Board is amputating trees around my neighbourhood. The trees are mutilated and bare now! *GASP*
Took this from the mrt station platform. Worker relentlessly chopping off the green crown.
This also means that pedestrians like us are deprived of our due shade. Oh yes, and oxygen too. I mean, with the lush leaves gone, how can the trees photosynthesize to produce oxygen and purify the air? This is simple Science and to think they have to decapitate the greens mercilessly!
Goodbye canopies! Thank you for sheltering us from the sun daily. More sunblock for me from today onwards!
