    The Phantom of the Opera

One of Broadway's more popular musicals, The Phantom of the Opera, is returning to Singapore. For a limited season... finally after 10 long years! I remembered watching this sensational musical when I was in secondary 2. It was organised by the school and a number of us went. However, the seats were not fantastic as we were poor students then and could not afford higher-end tickets.

Well, things are different now. We are all working adults now though I will still be watching this reknowned musical with my secondary school friends. They are not mere acquitances but good friends since secondary 3 and 4.

Anyway, tickets are open for booking only for DBS credit card holders and with a 10% discount. Since I don't own any DBS card, I was asking around and managed to enlist a friend's help to use his card. So, yes, the tickets are booked and paid. Meiqing, Qiumei, Valerie and I will be going for the performance on Sunday, 15 April 2007, at 8pm. It will be the last performance for the whole season and since we can't go on the Opening Night, I reckon that Finale Night is not too bad either.

Many friends think I am crazy to book the tickets so early (6 months in advance) but I am determined to get good seats this time and of course, enjoy this world-class production with my girlfriends in comfort.

Our seats are pretty good. At Foyer Stalls (Level 1).

Come to think of it, it has been a long time since I watched a musical with Meiqing, Qiumei and Val. Seriously, I can't even remember when I last watched any performance with them. Am really looking forward to it. Well, 6 months will fly!
