I am surprised by how customer-oriented hospitals have become. Even government aided hospital. Two days ago, I got a card from SNEC...
The front cover reads: Thank you for choosing singalasik
The inside reads: It has been a pleasure to be of service to you. We hope life's looking great! With best wishes.... Jane, From all of us at the Singalasik Centre 8th Sept 2006
Well, I did the surgery for my second eye on 8th September and I supposed this card was sent out on the same exact day. Also, did I mention that I was given a "goodies bag" on 8th too? It was a blue singalasik paper bag with some brochures and a singalasik tee-shirt inside.
I still remembered a patient saying this to the nurse when she received the "goodie bag" while we were all waiting outside the Laser Suite, "We no need this kind of goodie bag lah. Just give us more discount and charger cheaper for our surgery or consultation can already."
The nurse merely smiled.
Anyway, through all these little gestures from SNEC, we can see how competitive hospitals have become and how much emphasis is being placed on customer service. And this is probably the way to get us happy customers to spend more money in future!
