Gonna be on full day course tomorrow so got to go in early and finish up production report. Oh, received an email from HR today that the new guy accepted our job offer and commencing work on 30 August. Will check with HR again if he can start earlier. Headed for facial after work and then dinner at Mos Burger. Had some fruits when I got home. Feeling lazy now. I know I have not been exercising so I must do at least 6o crunches today. Oh yah, going swimming tomorrow too. Really must keep to my resolution to swim twice a week. Keeping my fingers crossed. 11.30am: Porridge, Fish, Vegetables, Egg and Hot Tea 9pm: Shrimp Burger, Fries and Hot Tea 10pm: 1 Kiwi, 1 Orange and 1 Green Apple Exercise: 100 crunches at night Labels: Work Sunday, July 29, 2007 Saturday, 28 July 2007 Met Valerie, her boyfriend, Qiumei, her boyfriend and Meiqing for lunch today at Ang Mo Kio Hub, at New York New York. To celebrate Meiqing's belated birthday. Caught up a bit and soon left our separate ways. Was supposed to meet Roy at 2.30pm for movie but when I called him at 2.15pm, he was already at AMK Hub. Anyway, he looked me up just outside Nail Palace. Was telling him to give me 15 minutes to do my Express Manicure and he was all nice about it. He went to shop around on his own while I did my manicure. Well, the manicurist Sandy was not bad. It was my first time at Nail Palace and soon, I was swayed to take up their package. Actually, I still have existing package at Flaunt! but because the manicurist was quite convincing and I kinda liked the service, I took up the 10+2 sessions package. Cost me a whooping $600. Don't think I dare to see my credit card bill next month! *FAINT* By the time, I was done at Nail Palace, it was 3.30pm and Roy was just outside gesturing to me that our movie was about to start. We soon headed for our movie. It was a thai horror movie titled Alone.
Exercise: Labels: Movie Finally had our Tango lesson today after 3 weeks. Unfortunately, we had to cancel next week's lesson too since I will be at Bangkok. After Tango, Phyllis and I headed for Dome Shaw House at Isetan Scotts, Level 4, to meet up with Florence and Shirley. To celebrate dear Florence's belated birthday. It was late lunch and as usual, caught up a bit, enjoyed our food and camwhored a little. Happy Belated Birthday to Flor sweetie! Hmm, her actual birthday is 24 July. :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Florence was craving for this, hence Dome Cafe was the venue. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Saturday, July 28, 2007 Friday, 27 July 2007 Went for the launch of Mercedes-Benz C-Class earlier. The new C-Class really lives up to its tagline of C-for-yourself. Held at Oosh on 22 Dempsey Road, the launch kickstarted with with some cocktail when we arrived at 7pm. Had some wine and did some networking with our business partners and their associates. There was a drizzle initially but cleared about 8pm. It was rather humid though. The turnout was overwhelming with more than 1000 guests. Finally at about 9pm, the launch started and Mercedes-Benz very latest C-Class was unveiled for the first time. Although I am no big fan of automobile, I must say that I absolutely love this new C-Class, especially the interior. ![]() The new C-Class. C-for-yourself. A pleasure to behold: its taut lines lend it an air of effortless superiority while the wide radiator grille and distinctive rear section announce a vehicle with a dynamic personality. The interior offers notably more space – and, thanks to fine materials and a new design, a more distinctive atmosphere.
Labels: Events Friday, July 27, 2007 Oh, by the way, I made my choice from the two candidates. Told Boss today and emailed to Human Resource to make an offer to the chosen candidate. There is no right or wrong. Whether the candidate is suitable for this job or not, we will be able to tell in the next few months. Hmm, afterall, probation is 6 months and if he doesn't fit, he has to go. Good luck dude! And yes, I chose the guy. Labels: Work Thursday, 26 July 2007 Bad day. Tummy was hurting so badly today. Missed this morning's meeting and I think Boss was unhappy. Hence, I had no choice but to cancel off the second half day of my medical leave and went back to work. Sigh. It was really stressful as we were all trying to hit the $10 million mark. Argh. Anyway, did whatever I could and headed off to Bishan Junction 8 to meet Roy for dinner. Actually, I was supposed to meet Jake tonight to go for a business dinner as his date. However, he sms-ed me at 3am telling me that he needed to leave for Hongkong in 5 hours time. Not sure why, but I was not disappointed or surprised. I do agree that a leopard will never change its spots. He was like this 3 years ago and he is still like this. All these were so familiar. The anticipation to meet up. The change. The apologetic words. The gifts that followed. They were sorta predicted and in a way, I was prepared for this last minute change. Or perhaps it is because we are no longer an item that I took this easier. I can't deny that I was relieved we are no more a couple or else upon hearing that he had to fly off again, I would probably race down to the airport. And perhaps crashing his car once more in an accident. In any case, I just replied his sms that it was fine and we would catch up again after he closed his god-knows-how-many deal. In a way, I was glad that the dinner with Jake did not actualise and I met up with Roy instead. We had ice-cream again at Swensen's after dinner. He mentioned that he needed to exercise and tone up his muscles while I was commenting that I needed to go back to inline skating. He does know how to inline skate a little and we thought it would be good if we can meet up for some leisure skating. Should really plan soon! As we were supposed to meet for movie this Saturday, he suggested going swimming after the movie. Brilliant. I agreed readily. Looking forward to swimming at least 40 laps. What with the dinners and desserts, think I better get to some exercise. Am so glad that Tango is resuming this Sunday. Because Francis was away for 3 weeks reservist, we had to miss Tango. Afterall, Francis is the only male partner Phyllis, Mandy and I have now. Must be stressful on him too! Haha. Alright. Enough for now. Need to sleep. Good night. 1pm: 1/4 bowl of rice, soup, 1 pork rib and some peanuts 7.30pm: 1/2 bowl of Minced Pork Noodles and 1 Chicken Wing 8.30pm: French Fries and Ice-Cream Exercise: 40 crunches at night
Wednesday, July 25, 2007 Just back from buffet dinner at Tiffany Coffee House at Furama City Centre located at Chinatown. Quite a spread and most importantly, it is halal. Went with my ex-colleagues and caught up with them. All of them are no longer with my ex-company. In fact, the company actually closed down. Anyway, all either have new jobs or going to start on their new jobs. I am happy for them. Now, back to the buffet. Here are the dishes, from what I can recall. Appetizer Soup Various Salad Salmon Sashimi Octupus Sashimi Fresh Prawns Mussels Main: Yellow Rice Chicken Baked Rish Cray Fish Sambal Prawn Vegetables Ngo Hiang Chilli Mussels
Side Counter: Fried Salmon Laksa (make yourself) Murtabak Desserts: Cookies Durian Pudding Strawberry Yogurt Coconut Tart Baked Cheesecake Various types of puddings Strawberry, Longan, Grapes, Marshmallow dipped in Chocolate Fondue Watermelon Honeydew Pineapple Apricot Green Apple Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla Ice-Cream Coffee and Tea I was basically pigging on the salmon and octupus sashimi. Tried almost all the dishes too but surprisingly, I missed out on the ice-cream. Reason being, I was too bloated. I ate so much and I really feel like a pig. Haha. Anyway, main intention was to combine-celebrate Sally's upcoming birthday on 2nd August and Janice's birthday which was on 16th July. Cynthia helped get the presents for both of them and made reservations while I tried to coordinate. There were 9 of us in total. Chin could not make it at the last minute as her hubby was sick. Well, all 9 of us had lotsa fun. Till we meet again! 2pm: Mee Sua, Egg Crepe and Kopi-Si 8pm: Tiffany Coffee House Buffet Dinner Exercise: NIL Yah, it's late but am still up. Pondering over which candidate to select for this Account Management Executive role. We interviewed the male candidate today and frankly, both him and the female candidate yesterday have their different strengths. Boss is now asking me to decide since this candidate will be under me. Argh. Just when I thought that we can narrow down these 2 so that he can select eventually! Female Candidate: - In current job for 3 years - Reliable / Stable - Familiar with insurance industry - Good at research or analysis and operations - Experienced in briefing or liasing with internal (other departments) but not external customers - Doesn't speak as well - No prior sales/marketing experience Male Candidate: - Affable - 1.5 year direct sales experience in current job - Familiar with auto products - Street smart - Speaks well - Ability to learn on the job quickly - May not stay long term in a job as seen from current employment - May not be easy to manage a typical sales character SO HOW?!?!? Labels: Work Tuesday, 24 July 2007 Finally to somewhere new. It is my first time at Ju Shin Jung, this Authentic Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant. Really nice food. I like it there. The projected numbers are not optimistic and I was at a loss on how to reply to him. Sigh. 6 more days to closing. Keeping my fingers crossed! Today was the lady candidate's second interview. This time with Boss. Not very impressive as she can't really market herself well. But one thing for sure, she is quite a dependable person and I think Boss likes this attribute. Oh well, Boss got to see tomorrow's male candidate before making a decision. On a happier note, Roy accompanied me for dinner at Ang Mo Kio S11 as I was craving for the Chicken Chop there. He already had dinner at home and just came to accompany me amidst the rain. Poor thing. After the meal, we strolled to the park opposite the library for a stroll then had sundae at Macdonald. So sinful. We chatted quite a bit and in fact, I just got home! Hmm, once more, as I mentioned before, it still feels like a "First Date". You know, the familiar tinge of innocent sweetness from long ago. That natural shyness too. :)
Me: So, am I cute? I burst into laughter. That line sounded so cheesy but because it came from the unpretentious him, I find it damn amusing. Now, I really don't mind seeing him again soon! 1pm: Duck Rice 8.30pm: Chicken Chop and Hot Tea 9.30pm: Hot Fudge Sundae and Hot Tea Exercise: 60 crunches in the morning 60 crunches at night Monday, July 23, 2007 Happy Birthday to you! I do hope that you will be happy, always. Just like sunflowers, with sunshine thoughts everyday. ![]() Labels: Birthday Sunday, 22 July 2007 Met Roy today to catch Die Hard 4 at Marina Square. Poor dude already watched it but was telling me that he did not mind watching again with me as it is a great show. Undeniably, this movie is a blast. Absolutely love the action! Movie ended about 3pm and we were both famished. Roy recommended Azabu Sabo and it was a great choice. Roy ordered some seafood fried rice with egg, like the seafood version of Oyakdon. I ordered Japanese Beef Curry rice with Pork Cutlet. The food portioning was kinda huge. We were both so full but because Azabu Sabo is quite reknown for their Hokkaido ice-cream, we decided to order a portion to share. ![]() Very nice! ![]() Very colourful dessert. The Green Tea ice-cream is yummy. A little pricey though.
Sunday, July 22, 2007 Saturday, 21 July 2007 Just got back from Insomnia Cafe at Chijmes. It was awesome dancing to the music once more. The rock band was pretty cool. Prefers the Filipino band to the local band. In any case, really enjoyed myself. Too bad got to leave early at about 1am as Jenny was tired. Oh yah, we had dinner at Hog's Breath Cafe before heading for Insomnia. It was so fun! Running through my day a little, woke up about 1pm and met Roy for lunch at 2pm. Happened to see him on MSN and he asked if wanna do lunch and he was willing to come down Yishun. Had chicken rice and fishball soup before proceeding to Swensen's for ice-cream. Yummy. This lunch date was unexpected but I really enjoyed it. Most importantly, Roy was good company. :) All in all, I had a wonderful Saturday. Think I should plan to go Insomnia again next weekend. Wanna boogie to some rock music! Wooohooo! 2.30pm: Chicken Rice, Fishball with Soup and Green Tea 3.30pm: Ice-Cream from Swensen's 8.30pm: Chicken & Vegetable Soup, Garlic Bread and Cripsy Chicken Salad 10.30pm - 1.30am: 3 bottles of Corona Beer, 1 bottle of Barcadi Breezer and 1 glass of Yellow Tail Chandonnay Exercise: 60 crunches at night Labels: Clubbing Saturday, July 21, 2007 Thursday, 19 July 2007 It was like candidate-interviewing day. Had 4 candidates coming down for interview but 1 postponed due to some last minute work thingy. Anyway, I missed the 9am candidate due to some problem at home. Interviewed a guy at 10am and a gal at 2pm. Both are not bad although we very much prefer the guy. He is more suitable and experience more relevant but think Boss prefers a girl. Afterall, we are in the automotive industry where it is male-dominant and always easier for a girl to survive then, if can survive. :) Was already so busy today trying to clear work but still got to entertain this unreasonably loud customer who was hollering away at our Front Counter. We finally resolved everything but he still left complaining and full of unhappiness. I do wonder what was is wrong with people nowadays. They are at fault and being so atrocious to demand you treat them like God. ARGH. The work load was seriously crazy. Had dinner with JM at Great World City before reaching office about 8.30pm to clear my work. Was so busy preparing for my training materials and hard at work that I left office at midnight. Grabbed a cab home and met Dave at 1am. Chatted and caught up a bit before he sent me home at 4am. I was dead beat when I hit the sack man. 12pm: Egg, Chicken and Toufu with Rice and Green Tea 7.30pm: 1/4 bowl rice, Vegetables, Oatmeal Prawn, Sweet & Sour Pork, Durian Pudding and Chinese Tea Exercise: NIL Friday, 20 July 2007 Rushed down to Ubi for training in the morning. It was a big group of about 50 today and the sales staff threw very challenging questions. Had some follow up and some sales persons were really finding fault at us. Sigh. This is really a tough business. Anyway, had lunch with the General Manager and her staff together with my underwriter before rushing back to office. It was about 3pm when I got back into office. Was so weary that I told myself to leave by 4am but alas, there was still lotsa to clear and I only left about 5.30pm. Was home about 6pm and went to catch a nap about 7pm, without eating anything! Had only wanted to sleep about 2 hours but when Mummy got home and checked on me in my room, it was already 12mn. Haha. Did not even feel hungry but feeling greedy, ate a chicken pie and green apple. Slacking now. Gonna be meeting Jen tomorrow and I am looking forward to it! 1pm: 8 Sushis, 3 slices of Salmon Sashimi, Kakiage, Salmon Karma, Fried Toufu and Ocha 12mn: 1 Chicken Pie and 1 Green Apple Exercise: NIL Labels: Work Wednesday, July 18, 2007 Just had dinner and drinks at Villa Bali. Was a farewell thingy for Raymond as it is his last day tomorrow. Even though his stint with us was a short one and had not helped the few of us much, I still believe that he has done his best to assist our boss. In this sense, by managing the boss, he is in a way helping us and I do appreciate it very much now. Anyway, the session was good but with Raymond gone, now I know my work load gonna increase tremendously. Keeping my fingers crossed. Mentioned to Raymond about my promotion increment and he was bewildered. He still could not believe boss actually gave me such a lousy increment. Oh well. *SHRUG* Was actually feeling not so good the whole night as I was a little worried about someone. We were supposed to meet after my drinks and since I did not hear from him, I supposed all was well. Did feel a little upset too as it just struck me that he probably would only look for me when he is upset or down, but not when all is fine. This slapped me but I guess this is the reality. The truth hurts and reality bites. How true. No matter what, I am glad all is well with him now. Well, back to my day. Been a hectic one. Very forgetful too. Actually left my handphone in the cab. Thank goodness I could call through using the security guard's handphone to my own number and the kind taxi-driver answered. The taxi driver was actually still at the taxi stand which he dropped me off though I did not see him while standing there the whole while. After I got through my number and spoke to the driver, I immediately raced over to the cab to get back my handphone. Was thanking the taxi driver ernestly. Phew. Think I will write a letter to CityCab tomorrow to commend this driver. He deserves it, for being so kind-hearted. After the handphone alarm, I had lunch and was on the way back to office when I got a call from Raymond that the production estimate meeting was at 2pm. I had thought it was 3.30pm. It was 2.45pm then and I was so anxious. Boss hates us being late. Fortunately Boss did not reprimand me or make any sarcastic remarks when I arrived. As if the day was not bad enough, I had to handle a very difficult Mitsubishi customer over some dispute via Call Center. Was still trying to settle the case till Eugene and I left for Villa Bali. The customer will be coming down tomorrow for a talk. I had handling such 1pm: 8 Sushis, 1 Chawamushi and 1 Green Tea 8pm: 1 Satay, 1 Stuff Chicken Wing, 1 Thai Fishcake, Half a Springroll, 2 Chilli Squid, Vegetables, 1 Glass of Red Wine and 1 Ice Lemon Tea 11pm: 1 Chocolate Cream Pie Exercise: 60 crunches at night Labels: Work Tuesday, July 17, 2007 Am still feeling not too good today though not as bad as yesterday. I guess working life is not always fair and we just have to do our best, till the next opportunity knocks. It could be internally or externally. I don't know. What I do know is, endurance is the key, at least for now. As I mentioned before, I do not want to be sour or bitter about work else I will never be able to give my best. Am certainly more calm today and hopefully by end of this week, I will be normal again. Life goes on and I should take full advantage to learn as much as I can given my new job exposure now. Wish me luck ya! Had a business lunch today at The Paramount. Was a casual one and basically introducing my boss to the After-Sales Director. A fruitful yet relaxing lunch. However, it was crazy back in office. I had so much to follow up. Even more to plan and strategise. The battle will continue tomorrow. There is so much to do this week. It is Raymond's last day tomorrow and we will be doing dinner and drinks. There is also the production estimate meeting tomorrow. ARGH. Both Thursday and Friday are full too. God helps me please! Anyway, was on MSN with Jeff just now and we really irritated the hell out of each other. Nonetheless, he still asked me out this Saturday. For the long overdue Transformers. I agreed. Tentatively. If the movie is still screening. Haha. Just realised that I was supposed to meet Willy for lunch on Friday but don't think I can since I have to conduct a training on Friday which I just confirmed today. Damn. My schedule is crazy. All running haywire. Sigh. Am trying to recall what I gonna do on Sunday but nothing comes to my mind. Think I should go for a swim. Will see how things go. Now should relax... 1pm: Roast Duck, Shark Fin's Soup, Vegetables, Fish, Noodles and Chinese Tea 9pm: Glass Noodles, Luncheon Meat, Fish and Egg 10pm: 2 Kiwi Exercise: 120 crunches at night Labels: Work Monday, July 16, 2007 I feel so down today. Partly because someone I care very much about is sad. I feel like meeting him so badly just to give him a big hug. To comfort him. But I think he needs time to be alone. By himself. To sort out his emotions. *HUGZ* Partly because of the talk I had with boss today. I got promoted, with minimal increment. I know I should be happy to get promoted but the thought of the meagre monetary return dampens my spirits. Lotsa. Yet, I do look forward to the challenges in this new role with so much more responsibilities. I know the learning curve is there and it will be an exciting journey. However, I do wanna feel less sour and bitter about the minimal wage increment. Really got to meditate myself. Sigh. Anyway, work continued as normal today and had coffee with Ray about 7.30pm before heading home for late dinner at 10pm. Did not do my crunches at night as I was feeling upset. Oh well, need more discipline tomorrow! 2pm: 1 plate of Chicken Rice 8pm: 1 Latte from Starbucks 10pm: Bak Kut Teh, Steamed Fish and a Doughstick Exercise: 60 crunches in the morning Labels: Work Sunday, July 15, 2007 Oh well, did not meet Charmaine last night as that babe didn't feel like it. Fortunately, KT suddenly asked me out for some music. Apparently he just got back from Vietnam yesterday noon. Anyway, since I was almost ready to go out, he headed out and came pick me up 30 minutes later. I was a little quiet in the car and he asked why I was unhappy. I told him I was not but commented that when he got back from Milan, he did not call me again after failing to meet me the last time I was out with Sam. In reply, he just muttered, "Ok. Please start scolding. I am listening." Geesh, I was so annoyed and stayed silent to which he continued, "Eh... carry on scolding leh..." Trying to be as calm as I can, "What's the point of scolding? It's your life what. If you want to be this way, so be it. We are both adults and know what to do with our lives. Scold for what?" Then, silence filled the air, followed by some 80s hits spinning from Class 95 station. Before long, we were chatting again. Like normal. :) He mentioned some outdoor live band playing at Indoor Stadium so we headed there. Bad choice. Clean forgotten that there was Jacky Cheung's concert and there was a jam as the concert just ended. To make matters worse, there was no live band then. When he saw the band some time back was probably a one-time performance. Geesh, I was really teasing him for his "brilliant idea". Had wanted to go Holland Village but decided to go Beach Cabana at East Coast Park. Had chicken wings and white wine, Matua Valley 2006 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough. Even KT noted that I love fruity wine. Hung around East Coast Park for a while after the wine before driving to Safra Resort area at Changi to relax at the breakwater. Chatted till 4am. Was so tired that I slept in the car on the way back. :) Woke up at 12.30pm today instead of the planned 11.30am. Hence, sms-ed both Phyllis and Weijie to meet 2pm at Yishun MRT station instead. Finally found Yio Chu Kang Community Club and caught Farhan and his lovely bride. Maureen arrived first and Phyllis, Weijie and I caught up with her there. After that, Jacinta and her boyfriend arrived, followed by Florence. ![]() From left: Phyllis, Jacinta, Edward (Jac's boyfriend), Weijie, Me, Florence & Maureen. ![]() Wedding held at Yio Chu Kang Community Club.

Labels: Wedding Saturday, July 14, 2007 Blogging now with my freshly polished nails. Got to be very careful least I chip the nail polish off. Malaga Wine colour. Hot. So happy that I finally did my nails after 5 weeks. My norm is 3 weeks and geesh, I am 2 weeks late. I love pretty well-manicured nails! :) Nothing much today since I slept at 5am. Had late lunch (about 3+pm) at Changi Village. Nasi Lemak. Sinful eh? Haha. Don't care much since I love food. Will just remind myself another 120 crunches before I sleep later. Was late for manicure and pedicure but they waited for me. Jeslinder did not do my nails today. Two other girls did. I did not like the part-time girl who did my finger nails. She is not very steady. *SULK* Town was so crowded and I had to call a cab to come home. Going to have some soup noodles now. Charmaine wants to party so will be meeting that babe at St James later. Not sure if she asks anyone along. I am cool even if it's just both of us. Hope we will have fun! 3.30pm: Nasi Lemak (with Chicken Wing, Ikan Bilis, Egg and Chilli) and Sour Plum Juice 8.55pm: Soup Noodles 12mn: 2 Chicken Wings and 3/4 Bottle of White Wine Exercise: 60 crunches in the morning Labels: Nails Friday, July 13, 2007 Seriously, I am not sure what I am busy with. Work seems to be all about attending countless meetings and replying endless emails. Sigh. Had lunch with JM today and it was nice. I ate a lot, as usual. And complaining I am fat. Haha. I feel better today and just can't bear being mad at him for too long. Well, at least he promised to try not to scold me again. Anyway, rushed back to office after lunch to head for Champion Motors but ended up meeting was cancelled. Argh. In a way, it was good as I had time to clear some backlog. Don't think I need to work this weekend. Thank God. Dinner was at Grand Hyatt Singapore. Was actually a food-tasting session for Desmond's wedding this coming September. To our surprise, the servings were BIG. By the time it was at the fifth course, we were all so full. The food was good, especially the dessert - Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts. I have been craving for Yam Paste for the longest time. In fact, during lunch today, I was just asking JM if Mouth Restaurant, where we had our lunch, served Yam Paste. Here's the Grand Hyatt's Weekend Wedding Dinner Banquet menu for those interested. 1) Jellyfish with mini squid, Seaweed Chicken Roll, Prawn & Yam Puff, Tom Yum Maki I feel so super full now and have every intention to do my 120 crunches before I sleep later. Yes, I will abide to it! 12.45pm: Roasted Duck, Soy Chicken, Porridge, 2 Char Siew Buns, 2 Har Kow, Dou Miao and Tea 8pm: Grand Hyatt's Weekend Wedding Dinner Banquet menu as mentioned above Exercise: 60 crunches in the morning 120 crunches at night Labels: Food Thursday, July 12, 2007 Just did my crunches and thought I would blog before heading for the shower. Went for Chevrolet Epica launch at Shangri-La Hotel today. It is organised by General Motors and pretty lavish. Food was good, especially the desserts. And Eugene was kind enough to send me home after that. Caught up with him on office on-goings and the recent resignations. Hopefully all will be stable now. I had problem sleeping last night and was prescribed some muscle relaxants today. Hopefully will be able to have a sound sleep tonight. I really need to rest, both my body and mind. JM sms-ed and MSN-ed asking if I was angry. Hmm, actually I am not. I just don't know how I can make things better and am basically trying not to ask or say anything least we have further conflict. I thought we were very polite with each other today. Well, maybe it's me, probably due to the lack of sleep from last night. I really hope that I won't end up building a wall around me now. Sighz. On a happier note, I did more crunches today and am determined to continue this regiment. Will try to swim more often too. Wish me luck ya! 1.45pm: Sirloin Steak with Fries 4pm: 1 pack of Hello Panda Chocolate 8pm - 9.30pm: Chicken, Prawns, Oyster, Fish and 5 servings of desserts (At Shangri-La for Chevrolet Epica launch) Exercise: 60 crunches in the morning 60 crunches at night
Wednesday, July 11, 2007 Just got back. The swimming session was great. Too bad I did not get to swim longer as the pool closed at 9pm. I felt more relaxed after the swim and had a good meal after that. Healthy appetite ya? Well, I would say it's FAT JANE. Haha. Anyway, I certainly don't feel as stoned as when I left office. Thank God. Do not want to think about this no more. Just wanna concentrate and work on 180 crunches starting tomorrow. My new target. Recommended is 3 sets of 60 crunches. 1 set in the morning, 1 set when home and 1 set before I sleep. Wish me luck! 1pm: Kakiage, 4 pieces of Salmon Sashimi, 5 pieces of sushi, Salmon Kama, Octopus Ball and Green Tea 9.30pm: Bee Hoon, Sweet & Sour Pork, Kangkong and Hot Tea Exercise: 10 laps at night Labels: Exercise In office now. Feel sedated. Having this weird feeling. Almost like I am in a different dimension. I am feeling so cold now. Decided not to swim cos of the chilly weather, but now, I know I should just head for the pool. The freezing water may just put me out of my sedated state. I can't think. My mind is blank. My hands were shivering earlier and had problem typing the keyboard. I know I was scared. Hurt too. But I am ok now. At least I think I am. Yes, I can be firm and go all out to make my point. But aggression is never in my nature. Abusive words frighten me. And they make me cry, especially if they come from my loved ones. Err, I should not be thinking so much now. I just need some real cold water to snap me out of my current state. Off for my swim now.... Haha. He was asking me for movie or party. Either Friday or Saturday. I just told him I would let him know again. Geesh, I really think I have an attitude! But well, my Saturday plans not affirmative yet. Should be more affirmative tomorrow. :) Work was quite hectic today and I still could not complete my campaign proposal as I was pending some information. Hope that I can get everything done by tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. Had dinner at Bakerzin at Vivo City earlier. Wanted to go for my manicure and pedicure but Flaunt is fully booked every weekday evening. Sighz. Had wanted to meet JM for dinner but he could not be sure about his work load so we decided another day. Hmm, will be another busy day tomorrow, what with back to back meetings in the afternoon. Hopefully Charmaine and I will go swim after department meeting ends. Don't wanna slack. Must exercise! 1pm: 1 Plate of Duck Rice with Beancurd and Green Tea 6.30pm: 3/4 slice of Dark Chocolate Cake, 2/5 piece of Chocolate Eclair, 1/4 Mushroom Sandwich and Rose Bud Tea (from Bakerzin) 10pm: 1 Kiwi, 1 Orange and 1 Green Apple Exercise: 20 crunches in the morning 30 crunches at night Labels: Work Sunday, July 08, 2007 Saturday, 7 July 2007 Woke up about 1pm and slacked at home the whole day. Got to know a new friend, Kenneth, recently and he came pick me about 9pm go Vivo City eat something before heading St James Power House. Realise that I know many Kenneths. Haha. Anyway, let's call him KTan. Coincidentally, KTan and I were from the same uni and same batch though different course. I had never seen him in school at all but then again, perhaps I did and did not remember. Afterall, I am not that good with faces and names of people I don't know personally. Apparently KTan knows Wenyu, Zijun and Cheryl. In fact, he just met Zijun 2 months back. It is indeed a small world. Anyway, went to meet Yee Faye and her colleagues at St James Gallery Bar for drinks. Boy, they sure drank lotsa. Quite a fun bunch. Games and drinks. Very rowdy. I was made to drink the tequila shot after losing in a game and totally dreaded it. KTan was kind enough to take the shot for me though he would be sending me back and he had already had a few shots. Basically, the whole group drowned a bottle of tequila, a bottle of white wine and a bottle of Hennessy. I had a glass of white wine, 2 Vodka Cranberry, 3 Lychee Martinis and 1 Whiskey Coke. Was still very sober though bloated after that. KTan and I went downstairs to Power House then Dragonfly to dance about 4am when the rest left. Had fun and no regret joining Yee Faye. Afterall, got to know new people. Happened to see Zuwei with Yee Faye's colleagues as all of them work in UOB. Also, coincidentally, this guy Stanley who also joined us, is someone KTan knows too. I thought Stanley looked quite familiar and when asked, realised we were both from the same secondary school. There are just so many concidences. The most freaky coincidence was actually knowing Enrique, this South-American guy who is a pilot with SIA now. Enrique joined us with his friend as they know one of Yee Faye's colleagues. Anyway, Enrique is from Bolivia and 6 more months before becoming a full pledged pilot with SIA. Apparently their training takes 2 years. So, he was chatting with me a bit about his country and what he was doing previously. We then headed for the bar for Martinis and when I took out my credit card to foot the bill, I pulled out my driver's license concurrently. I showed it to him and he was just tellig me he was surprised at my age. Also mentioned that we are the same age. So I asked him when is his birthday and he told me a date which freaked me out. Big time. It's the same birth date as mine. Same day, same month and same year! I refused to believe him until he showed me his identity card and I was convinced. It is so amazing. Two people, from two different parts of the world, in fact is one end of the world to the other end of the world, meeting at the same place and sharing the same birth date. Before knowing we shared the same birth date, we were already talking a little about music and dance. Apparently most South American men can Salsa or Latin Dance and I was pretty impressed. I was so excited to know someone sharing the same birthdate as me. This is definitely a first for me man! Enrique and his friend left about 3am and we exchanged contact. He actually knows the live band playing at Cuba Libre and mentioned going there for drinks and dance together. I love Cuba Libre and won't mind going again! :) Anyway, back to KTan. We were at Dragonfly for an hour from 4am but when the cantopop came onto the stage for their last set about 4.45am, we decided to leave. I was quite amused by the band as I have never been really a cheena or canto pop girl. KTan was grinning too but I did not ask much. We left about 5am and he sent me home. Poor him was so tired and he got to wake up about 8am to fetch his mum somewhere. I was kinda worried if he could drive being so tired so invited him into my house and made him a cup of hot tea. He was just sitting around for half an hour before going back. And I was dead beat after that! Though exhausted, I could not sleep after I showered about 6am. Went online to check some emails and finally slept at about 7am. It was a fun night. 2.30pm: Chicken Rice and Iced Tea 5pm: 1 Kiwi and 1 Orange 10pm: Half a BK Big Fish burger and Onion Rings Exercise: 30 crunches in the morning Sunday, 8 July 2007 Woke up about 11.30am to JM's sms on not being able to come fetch me for lunch. I did not want to go meet him without transport, so replied him we would do weekday lunch instead. Finally up about 12.30pm feeling sleepy but could not get back to bed. Had late lunch about 3pm before going for hair treatment.
Slacked somemore when I got back home then dinner about 8pm. It was a slow Sunday and I am still feeling sleepy. Thought about Jeff and he should be back tonight. Should be expecting a call or sms from him tomorrow. Gonna be a packed week starting tomorrow. In fact, I am dreading tomorrow already. Had wanted to go back office this weekend but did not. This means I will have to be in office early tomorrow morning to rush out a campaign proposal. I am out of idea. Argh. HELP. Need to think of something for August and September promotion. Quickly! :( 3pm: 1 bowl of Laksa 7pm: 1 Kiwi and 1 Orange 8pm: Half a plate of Bee Hoon, Half a Taiwan Sausage, 2 Fishballs, 1 Ngoh Hiang, 2 BBQ Chicken Wings and Iced Green Tea Exercise: 30 crunches at night Friday, July 06, 2007 I am tired. Not in the mood for exercise today. Was co-chairing the Marketing meeting this morning and working out this month's production figures. It was a long meeting. Was supposed to meet JM for lunch but got to cancel and had a quick lunch before going back office to work.
Liasing with regional office on an upcoming campaign proved really tedious. Even though I have been allocated marketing expenses, the company is now into expense control and I need to update the financial controller. Feeling kinda flustered by the lengthy approval procedure. Think I will have to head back to office tomorrow to work out my marketing proposal so that I can place the merchandise orders from Hongkong for my upcoming campaign. I am brain dead. I could feel the pressure mounting and felt really strained. Was supposed to meet Ray for dinner today but he had some last minute work commitments. Nonetheless, I joined Zijun, Cheryl and Clarence (whom I last met 3 years ago) for dinner at Siam Kitchen (Bugis Junction). It was so fun catching up, especially with Clarence. Had ice-cream after that. Hmm, I am glad I managed to catch up with friends amidst my busy day. Think I will slack at home tomorrow for half a day then head to office to work before going swim. Let's see how things go tomorrow! *YAWNZ* 12pm: Unagi Don and Japanese Iced Green Tea 8.15pm: 1/4 plate of Plain Rice, 3 soupfuls of Chicken Curry gravy, Tom Yum Soup with Prawns, 2 mouthfuls of Kangkong and 1 Beancurd 9.30pm: Ice-cream Exercise: NIL Thursday, July 05, 2007 Training in the morning went smoothly and sorted out some important matters at the afternoon's meeting. Tomorrow is Marketing Meeting and I have yet to prepare. Geesh, I am so tired. Been lazy and did not do any crunches today. Felt really guilty. As I decided to retake Latin Cha Cha (Intermediate), I did not go for the last lesson today. Instead, Sam came to pick me up for dinner. We went to The Beach Hut at East Coast Parkway's Marine Cove. Pretty nice cosy place and the Pacific Dory I had was nice. There was a guitarist who was singing there and Sam dedicated a song to me. So sweet of him. Unfortunately, there wasn't much dessert choices there, hence we headed for The Cheesecake Cafe at East Coast Road for cheesecake and tea. It was a wonderful evening. It has actually been a few months since I met Sam and it was nice catching up. And strangely, yesterday and today, a few guy friends been contacting me. Guys whom I used to meet regularly but suddenly became busy and disappeared for a few weeks. And now, they started contacting. It was Ken's birthday yesterday. Sent him an e-card. I miss him. Been so long and I still miss him. :( You can imagine how elated I was to receive his email reply today. Life in Korea is hectic as usual for him and as before, he is not sure when he can come back to Singapore. Life hasn't been very fair for him and I hope, for his birthday, wishing him a quick return back to Singapore or The States, and also a GOOD boss. Sighz! KT called earlier when I was at The Cheesecake Cafe. He got back from Milan on Monday. He wanted to meet but I was with Sam. When I told him where I was, he just mentioned wanting to come by to pick me and send me home. But I just told him that Sam would be sending me back. In any case, we may be doing lunch tomorrow since he has a dinner appointment with his client tomorrow. Hmm, this means I will be so free tomorrow night! Haha. Ali sms-ed last night after disappearing for a few months. Was telling me that he had been travelling and mentioned that he had tamed down lotsa. Kinda funny. Don't know what he wanna tell me. But well, we may be meeting up sometime next week. KW called me over the weekend as he is back from Australia. Have not seen him for at least a month. He is my ultimate movie kaki. Anyway, may meet him this weekend for movie. :) Anthony MSN-ed me today too and he is recovering from his cough too. Good for him. May catch up with him next week. Been more than a month. Haha. Oh yah, before I forgot, Jeff, my Saturday date sms-ed and MSN-ed me today too. Apparently, he had gone for site visit at Batam and got back last night. Would be going again tomorrow morning and coming back on Sunday. I had mentioned that I would not see him again ya? Well, I sorta told him that and he was basically trying to convince me So, now back to my old self and heck caring about everyone else. Still feeling guilty for not exercising at all today. Not even crunches. Oh yah, I ate a lot too! 8am: 1 Kiwi, 1 Orange and 2 Sausages 12pm: 1 Shrimp Burger (from MOS Burger), 1 packet of Fries (without salt) and 1 Ice Lemon Tea 5pm: 1 packet of Hello Panda chocolates (I know I should refrain from chocolate but I was so hungry!) 8pm: 5 Pieces of Calarmi Rings, 1 Pacific Dory Fillet, Fries, Salad and Lime Juice 9.30pm: Half a slice of Strawberry-Oreo Cheesecake and 1 Pot of EarlGrey Tea Exercise: NIL Labels: Men Wednesday, July 04, 2007 Am so busy today. Forgetful too. Rushed back to office as I thought I had a meeting at 3.30pm but is in fact tomorrow. Argh. I need to get a grip. Have to conduct a training tomorrow morning and then a meeting at 3.30pm. Must really try to complete the production updates by tomorrow. Hmm, still contemplating if I should go for my last lesson of Latin Cha Cha and Latin Samba. Well, I have intention to retake Latin Cha Cha (Intermediate) again since I missed the last few lessons. Will see how things go tomorrow. Oh yah, went for my swim today. Feels really good now! 12pm: Grilled Chicken Foldover, Half a packet of medium Fries (without salt) and Green Tea 6.30pm: 1 Bowl of Noodles (Dry) and Lime Juice 10.30pm: 1 Kiwi and 1 Orange Exercise: 30 crunches in the morning 20 laps at night (swim) Labels: Work Tuesday, July 03, 2007 Was so annoyed today at our Mailroom. Received an invitation to the new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso launch which was held on 22 June 2007. Yes, the event is over. From the envelope, can tell that Singapore Post sent out on 13 June and our Mailroom received on 14 June. But it only reached me today, on 3 July! This is ridiculous! This whole matter is so embarrassing and I have to email to apologise for not going to the event and also congratulate them on the success of the launch. Anyway, asked our secretary to investigate why Mailroom took so long and is so inefficient nowadays. This is so exasperating! Alright, mailroom service aside. Here goes the boring daily meal and exercise once more.
Labels: Work Monday, July 02, 2007 Was disappointed that the Victoria's Secret Summer Lace Tankini I wanna get is out of stock. I guess I will have to get my tankini locally.... so, this means MORE SHOPPING! Will have to check out departmental stores, Roxy and Mambo for nice tankinis. NO bikinis please. Pathetic me has NO figure for bikinis. BoooohooO! Anyway, to compensate my disappointment on not getting the tankini, decided to get something else from Victoria's Secret... ![]() Ain't it hot or what? :)
Labels: Shopping No Monday Blues today. Thank God. The usual work rush but left office about 7pm to head to Series at Far East Plaza to change the trench coat I bought. Got it over the weekend. In white, and exchanging for a black one. Decided that black is a more practical colour. My weight is still the same and am upset why I am not losing any weight. I am almost affirmative that it must be the wine on both Friday and Saturday nights. ARGH. I know that I am not exactly cutting down on my food. Now, maybe I should? :( 12pm: Half a plate of Fried Bee Hoon, 1 Fried Chicken Wing and 1 Taiwan Sausage 4.45pm: 1 Kit Kat 8pm: Stir-Fried Vermicelli with Turnip, Pan-Fried Pork and Soup 9.30pm 1 Orange and 1 Kiwi Exercise: 30 crunches in the morning 30 crunches at night Labels: Myself Sunday, July 01, 2007 I met the same guy for two consecutive days. Two dates, with the same man. Woah, I must give it to myself! I do not usually go out with the same man consecutively for two weekends, needless to say two consecutive days! After Friday's gathering with the girls to celebrate Zijun's birthday, I had wanted to go home. But Jeff was saying to meet for drinks. He was at Clarke Quay and I did not wanna be drinking in town due to the crowd. So, I suggested East Coast Park and he agreed. I was surprised, especially when he stayed in the West and he did not drive that day. Anyway, was trying to call cab from Paragon but to no avail. There was simply no cab picking up the call. When Jeff called to say he got onto a cab and would pick me at Paragon, I heaved a big sigh of relief. Went to this 24 hour pub place and had a bottle of white wine. We then sat on the bench by the beach and chatted lotsa. I was feeling cold and he carried me up to sit on his lap. It was a warm and comfortable feeling. Finally, he sent me home in a cab at about 4am and asked to meet me again the next day. Well, I woke up about 1.30pm on Saturday and sms-ed him when I woke up. Was supposed to meet him downstairs at 2.30pm but because I was held up, poor him was waiting till 3.25pm for me. And it sure didn't help that I was sulking on why we not calling cab and must hail one. He lamented something on how he must ensure he drives when he meets me in future. Haha! Movie was at 8.45pm and we headed for Raffles City first. He bought shoes, sandals and a white long-sleeved top from Timberland. Hmm, at least he has pretty good taste. Next will be City Link Mall then to Marina Square. I bought 2 dresses and 1 jacket from Series at City Link Mall. I tried on lotsa dresses and Jeff helped give comments at all the boutiques I went to and tried on clothes at. Very patient huh? By the time we reached Marina Square, I was hungry and because I wanna have steak, we went to Outback Steak at Millenia Walk. He had wanted to go Lawry's for steak but we were already at Marina area. Anyway, I ordered an 8-ounce Prime Rib. Original. Medium-rare. Gave him 1/4 of my steak while he had his Grilled Salmon. I tried the Mango and Peach Cream drink there and was so nice. Jeff still prefers the Strawberry and Banana Cream drink which is nice too. It was more shopping after dinner and I bought a pair of orange shorts from Mphosis. Bumped into Cheryl at Marina Square and she thought Jeff was my boyfriend. And when I said no, she kept saying we were so close. I just kept laughing. Well, we carried on shopping till movie time at 8.45pm. Watched Ocean's Thirteen (at my request) which he had already gone to Marina Square to get tickets for earlier at noon. Was quite disappointed at the movie as I expected it to be more action-packed. One consolation was that at least I had great company! It was only about 11.30pm after the movie so I suggested going for drinks at Villa Bali. He had never been there and we had problem grabbing a cab. Was finally able to catch a cab in front of One Fullerton after walking for a good 15 minutes. He thought that I was too pampered and also passed some comments about guys who dated me usually drove since I only suggest inaccessible places. I was a little annoyed. I mean, I do not like too crowded place and it just happens that those places I like tend to be not-so-accessible. *SULK* Shared a bottle of red wine at Villa Bali and chatted as usual. He had been very honest so far and had no qualms in pointing out my childishness at times. It was a wonderful date and we kissed when he sent me home. Sweet dreams Jeff. I did not hear from him today and did not want to contact him too. He mentioned wanting to spend time with his mum and his dog too. Last night, he told me that I am an Enigma; childish yet sophisticated, pampered yet sensible, unreasonable yet adorable. He was so contradictory that he confused me. He shared a little about his emotional state and how he had not dated any single girl. Apparently, he has been going out only with attached or married women for the past few years. All because of a bad relationship which he never reconciled with. It's strange. Men I meet. They always seem to be in an emotional wreck and seriously, the last I want is to be involved. Simply because they themselves are never sure. And so, Jeff, thanks for being so sweet both nights. Doubt we will meet again. Labels: Men My food intake the last few days were alright except for wine on both Friday and Saturday. Am sure the calories from the wines are piling onto me already. *SULK* Back to Crunches twice a day from tomorrow onwards!
