It has been about a week since I last blogged. It is amazing how the week just flew. It has been an hectic week with lotsa meetings, interviewing candidates for the account management position and most importantly, my performance appraisal.
My appraisal was on Monday morning and I took the whole night before to prepare my appraisal paper. Apparently, what I wrote did not seem to be what my Marketing Manager wanted and after my appraisal, I had to do quite a lot of amendments. Because I was so busy the next few days after, I only handed in the final appraisal paper on Friday, and that was after burning midnight oil till 2am to complete!
The only highlight of the week was partying with Phyllis on Wednesday. Florence was supposed to join us but she pulled disappearance act on us and only sms-ed after midnight on why she could not turn up. Well, she had wanted to come down after that but both Phy and me thought it was no point. Actually, both of us were quite tired before heading out but because I thought Florence was keen to join us so we decided to go ahead anyway. This was very bad for me as I had a meeting the next morning at 9am. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves very much.
Arrived at The Clinic @ The Cannery slightly past 11pm and the music was not bad at first but changed later on, which Phy and me were kinda bored. There was a bunch of Prudential agents (all guys) next to us and kept talking to us. I did not really want to elaborate more this always happens when I party. I just can't emphasize how much I want the guys to leave me alone!
Anyway, we eventually left for Zouk about 2.45am as we were craving for retro. Got there at 3am and partied till 4am. Shared a jug of Purplehaze with Phy while we danced away. It was really nice and coincidently, there were some transvestites there and hmm, they did put up some erotic dancing on the platform. Strangely, many people seemed awed by them and kept looking at them. Phy too kept looking and happily snapping their pictures! Haha. We managed to take pictures of ourselves at Zouk too though.
By the time I got home and showered was already 5am and I only slept 2 hours before preparing to go for my 9am meeting. I was so tired at the meeting and by noon, I looked horrible. My colleagues kept asking why I looked so tired and I told them to try sleeping 2 hours and see what happen. Bleah!
And so, because I was dead beat on Thursday, I skipped my Latin Cha Cha and Latin Samba and had dinner with someone, whom as usual, I enjoyed the company with tremendously. :)
Friday was the usual at work but I finally caught Shrek 3, with my colleague, Sok Hui. Had dinner at Suki Sushi at Cineleisure before going for our movie. Shrek 3 is hillarious. I think I enjoy funny yet not-so-meaningful movie too. It was still early when the movie ended but Sok Hui wanna go home so I met up with a friend for drinks. Went to Cuba Libre at Clarke Quay and the latin band was great. Enjoyed the music but did not dance as we just sat and chatted there. Managed to have Haagen Daz ice-cream for supper at 1.30am before he sent me home. It was a sweet Friday.
Was slacking at home the whole Saturday and later on, going for Tango lesson. Had stopped Tango for 2 months and am so glad we are finally starting again. May go back office join Charmaine clear some work after Tango then have dinner with her. May shop a bit too. Hmm, I am looking forward to it already!
