Finally caught the much-hyped-about Phantom of the Opera today, with secondary school mates Valerie, Meiqing and Qiumei. Had dinner at Jack's Place to celebrate Qiumei's belated birthday before heading for the Esplanade.

My turn with the Birthday Babe!
We were seated by 8pm and at Foyer Stalls. It was full house and I bet almost everyone booked 6 months ago like us. Well, as expected, the musical is awesome, especially the props used. Amazing! As most friends said, it's well worth the dollars!

Taking a parting shot with the standee!
As we were discussing on the way home, we felt that the Phantom of the Opera musical we watched 12 years ago at Kallang Theatre, was more spectacular. All of us were secondary school friends and watched this same musical 12 years ago and indeed, the feelings differ vastly.
We kinda concluded that probably back then, we were ignorant and easily-awed teenagers so found the musical so fantastic. After a dozen years, the musical is still as good but the feelings kinda changed. Oh well, such is life!
