Monday, July 21, 2008 Think I forget to blog about this... well, I got promoted this month, together many others from other departments. I found out something a few weeks ago which was not very pleasant and hence, was not expecting much for my increment. Although I had been informed that I will promoted this round, I do not have high hopes. On Monday, prior to my Cambodia holiday, I sms-ed Boss to ask about my increment since I would not be around that whole week when she would be giving out the promotion/salary adjustment letter. I just wanna leave for my holiday without suspense. Surprisingly, she replied my sms and I was pleasantly surprised by the increment. I mean, the increment is not fantastic but I know she tried her best to give me the best she can. For that, I am appreciative. Oh yah, before I go further, did I mention that I have a new boss now? Effective 1st July, we have a new Head Of Department. She has been with the company for 11 years and used to head my department before moving to start and head another department. However, because my ex-boss was going to further advance his career in a sister company, my new Boss is back to my department, after about 6 years. Also, my direct superior whom I reported to, left early June, after being headhunted by a competitor. Well, there have been quite a few resignations in my department and we need to hire! All of us have pretty high hopes for this new HOD and really hope that she can bring our department to further heights with her vast experience. Not sure about the others, but I do look forward to working with my new boss! Labels: Work |
