Earlier this year, I was planning to visit him in Auckland but realised that the air ticket there is so freaking expensive and just visiting Auckland alone is not so practical. Moreover, even if I head to Auckland, I will be alone and Leon will be working. So, I shelved the idea.
Been a few years since we met. He was studying in Perth then continued his studies in Auckland and finally working there now. In any case, can't wait to meet up with him. We got to know each other since Zouk/Nox days and now that he is coming back for Christmas, think we gonna paint the town red once more. Haha.
Well, well, this is one news that is cheering me up since 2 days ago. Am really looking forward to an old friend's return! :)

The weekend was good though with Desmond's wedding on Saturday and Tango on Sunday. Will blog about Desmond's wedding with photos another day when I am not so tired. Felt very drained, especially after the conference call earlier with the Regional and New York folks. Had to drop Boss an email before I finally shut down my laptop and headed home.
Dinner was simple with soup and vegetables. I am fat now. Think I should cut down on my food intake. Snacks too. Ate a packet of Porky at 4pm today. Was hungry as I ate fruits and Avocado Juice for lunch today. Doctor had mentioned I should avoid the sun and swimming for a while till my sores disappeared. This means, no swimming or inline-skating for me, at least for now. I do hope I won't be so tired next few days to do some crunches.
Next few days gonna be as busy, if not more busy. Am dreading it. Actually, am leaving for Taipei next Sunday but now, as usual before any trip, I am NOT looking forward to it as Boss starts giving me multiple tasks to complete before leaving. Argh.

Cleared work, attended meetings and delivered 20 boxes of mooncake today. More to go tomorrow. Argh. What a start to my week!

Wanna get a pair of white heels to match my cheongsam to be worn on my brother's wedding next Saturday, but ended up buying 3 pairs of heels instead!
That's the problem with girls. When we start combing shoes boutiques, we end up buying lotsa shoes or heels. Yes, unfocused, as men put it, but well, who cares, especially when those heels are sooooooooo LOVELY!
Match my cheongsam nicely!

On medical leave since Wednesday and in fact, still on medical leave today but got to go back office as Boss is leaving for New York tomorrow.
Fancy going back to work when on Medical Leave!
And it's a Friday!
Was in office for half a day before going to Chinatown 长城 for Frog Porridge with Roy. Thought it was not so nice. Should have gone Geylang. Anyway, we decided to stroll around Chinatown after dinner and happened to catch some Japanese Lantern Lighting Ceremony at 7.30pm. Location was at an open space behind this really big temple.
It was supposed to start at 7.30pm but we waited till 7.50pm. The ceremony started with music from drums and flutes then a group of men pushed up the panel of lanterns, with lighted candles in the lanterns! After that, each guy will take turns to hold the pole which carries the flag of lanterns. The excitement came when each guy keep increasing the pole length when he took over. We can actually see the two flags of lanterns getting higher and higher! Cool eh? :)
After this, we went for some Lantern Exhibition which is held around there. $3 for entrance fee since it is a weekday. Well, I am putting up the pictures but really, if any of you is considering going, please don't. Even though it is a mere $3, it is so-not-worth the price!
Hmm, they may be featuring the 7 wonders...
Can't remember the name!
On the other end directly opposite the Phoenix.
Hmm, now I am yearning to go Chinese Garden to see the lovely lanterns since those I saw earlier were not so great! *SULK*

...am all wrapped up in long-sleeved shirt and pants! It has been raining for the past weeks and I thought it will be a good idea to keep myself warm since I gonna be in office the whole day today.
Was feeling a little down cos I felt dis-figured. Had 3 pimples beneath my mouth, on my chin area! Sobz!

Woke up at 12pm before rushing off to meet Francis and Roy for lunch at the newly-opened Suki Sushi at KBox Plaza.
Just dyed my hair this dark red shade on Saturday!
Absolutely adore this nail polish colour.
Was discussing with Francis on our upcoming Taipei trip. I was tasked to book the hotels while Francis will check out the places of interests. Am quite excited at this whole planning. Hehe.
Anyway, Suki Sushi's sushi belt has 3 different plate varieties. $0.99 plates, $2.99 plates and $5.99 plates. We ate quite a fair bit and I was so bloated.
After the super late lunch, Roy and I caught Rogue Assassin at Ang Mo Kio Hub. Though the movie was less than 2 hours, it felt long. Quite action-packed. No doubt though, Jet Li has aged. A lot. But I still love watching him on screen. Haha.
You will enjoy this movie if you like action-packed films. Surprised at the twist. Pretty good plot. Way much better than Rush Hour 3.

Had a Girls Night Out with some girlfriends on Friday. Went for a light meal at Shooters before heading to The Arena, Singapore's No.1 International Live Music Venue.
This club rocks. And I totally mean it. I thought it would be a little boring at first as the bands were really good but no one was grooving to the music. However, it was different after midnight when everyone started to relax and move to the music.
The Lychee Martinis there are pretty strong. I like. Yummy! Too bad Flora left early about midnight. Jen, Jo and I had lotsa fun dancing. Jo was so popular with the guys! And we got a round of drinks from a group of guys all thanks to her. Wooohooo!
Actually, nothing beats the music there. Really enjoy grooving to both bands. Am so glad Jen suggested this great venue. Will visit it again soon!

Hmm, after having curls for one and a half year, it does feel a little weird now that the hair is back to its natural state.
Think I will perm again next year!
As I woke up early today, was fiddling with my digicam after getting dressed.
Very blurry as I took the picture from the mirror.
Or perhaps I do not know how to adjust my digicam's settings!

Went to Sengkang for Ashley's Housewarming and she also planned it to be Junye's birthday celebration. Aww... she is such a sweet wifey!

Went for my haircut followed by treatment today. Asked Tom to blow my hair straight. With my curls, at least most of them, cropped, my hair is kinda straight now.
Because I was waiting for Tom for a good half an hour, was late in meeting Zijun for coffee at Bugis.
Looked kinda different huh?
Met Zijun at The Bencoolen and decided to go for Express Manicure at the Nail Palace there to remove and re-polish my nail colour. Shaped, filed and re-polished with a soft metallic pink.
Not too tidy though as I did not do full manicure! *BLEAH*
After Express Manicure and lotsa chatting, accompanied Zijun to buy some precious stones at The Bencoolen before heading for dinner at Ajitei at Bugis Junction with my ex-colleagues. Zijun joined us too.
Was happy with Tom's work, hence capturing myself!
