Seriously, I am not sure what I am busy with. Work seems to be all about attending countless meetings and replying endless emails. Sigh.
Had lunch with JM today and it was nice. I ate a lot, as usual. And complaining I am fat. Haha. I feel better today and just can't bear being mad at him for too long. Well, at least he promised to try not to scold me again.
Anyway, rushed back to office after lunch to head for Champion Motors but ended up meeting was cancelled. Argh. In a way, it was good as I had time to clear some backlog. Don't think I need to work this weekend. Thank God.
Dinner was at Grand Hyatt Singapore. Was actually a food-tasting session for Desmond's wedding this coming September. To our surprise, the servings were BIG. By the time it was at the fifth course, we were all so full. The food was good, especially the dessert - Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts. I have been craving for Yam Paste for the longest time. In fact, during lunch today, I was just asking JM if Mouth Restaurant, where we had our lunch, served Yam Paste.
Here's the Grand Hyatt's Weekend Wedding Dinner Banquet menu for those interested.
1) Jellyfish with mini squid, Seaweed Chicken Roll, Prawn & Yam Puff, Tom Yum Maki - All was not bad except the Tom Yam Maki. Did not taste like Tom Yum at all. Asked the chef to enhance the Tom Yum taste on actual wedding day.
2) Sharkfin's Soup with Conpoy and Crabmeat - Rich and yummy. Thumbs up.
3) Roasted Chicken in Spicy Sauce - Can't remember name of the sauce but was nice. The chicken was cripsy too. Oishii desu ne!
4) Steamed Live Garoupa in Superior Sauce - The sauce is supposedly Hyatt's secret recipe. Not too bad. Unfortunately, the fish was a little over-steamed. Could have been more tender.
5) Scallops with Asparagus in Cheese Basket - Scallops were very fresh. Good. I don't take Asparagus but Mummy loved them. The Cheese Basket tasted horrible. Not cripsy at all and I could not taste the cheese!
6) Steamed Crab Claws - The sauce was nice. Real crab meat. Nice!
7) Vegetables with Abalone and Shitaka Mushroom - Vegetables so so. Abalone tasted a little too tough. But then again, it's not like the Abalone cost $1000+ so no complaints. I don't eat Mushrooms so no comment. Mummy said not bad though.
8) Korean Glass Noodles - A little too starchy. Did not taste much ingredients too.The rest said was quite nice. Well, perhaps I was too full to eat or comment at this 8th dish!
9) Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts - The Coconut with Pumpkin cream is great on the Yam Paste. Paste was very smooth and tasted oh, so great. Highly recommended and definitely a dessert worth waiting for. Oh, but the Ginko Nuts pretty tasteless. Think I am too pampered cos Mummy only made Ginko Nuts in Rock Sugar for me and was so tasty!
I feel so super full now and have every intention to do my 120 crunches before I sleep later. Yes, I will abide to it!

8pm: Grand Hyatt's Weekend Wedding Dinner Banquet menu as mentioned above
