Sunday, July 08, 2007 Saturday, 7 July 2007 Woke up about 1pm and slacked at home the whole day. Got to know a new friend, Kenneth, recently and he came pick me about 9pm go Vivo City eat something before heading St James Power House. Realise that I know many Kenneths. Haha. Anyway, let's call him KTan. Coincidentally, KTan and I were from the same uni and same batch though different course. I had never seen him in school at all but then again, perhaps I did and did not remember. Afterall, I am not that good with faces and names of people I don't know personally. Apparently KTan knows Wenyu, Zijun and Cheryl. In fact, he just met Zijun 2 months back. It is indeed a small world. Anyway, went to meet Yee Faye and her colleagues at St James Gallery Bar for drinks. Boy, they sure drank lotsa. Quite a fun bunch. Games and drinks. Very rowdy. I was made to drink the tequila shot after losing in a game and totally dreaded it. KTan was kind enough to take the shot for me though he would be sending me back and he had already had a few shots. Basically, the whole group drowned a bottle of tequila, a bottle of white wine and a bottle of Hennessy. I had a glass of white wine, 2 Vodka Cranberry, 3 Lychee Martinis and 1 Whiskey Coke. Was still very sober though bloated after that. KTan and I went downstairs to Power House then Dragonfly to dance about 4am when the rest left. Had fun and no regret joining Yee Faye. Afterall, got to know new people. Happened to see Zuwei with Yee Faye's colleagues as all of them work in UOB. Also, coincidentally, this guy Stanley who also joined us, is someone KTan knows too. I thought Stanley looked quite familiar and when asked, realised we were both from the same secondary school. There are just so many concidences. The most freaky coincidence was actually knowing Enrique, this South-American guy who is a pilot with SIA now. Enrique joined us with his friend as they know one of Yee Faye's colleagues. Anyway, Enrique is from Bolivia and 6 more months before becoming a full pledged pilot with SIA. Apparently their training takes 2 years. So, he was chatting with me a bit about his country and what he was doing previously. We then headed for the bar for Martinis and when I took out my credit card to foot the bill, I pulled out my driver's license concurrently. I showed it to him and he was just tellig me he was surprised at my age. Also mentioned that we are the same age. So I asked him when is his birthday and he told me a date which freaked me out. Big time. It's the same birth date as mine. Same day, same month and same year! I refused to believe him until he showed me his identity card and I was convinced. It is so amazing. Two people, from two different parts of the world, in fact is one end of the world to the other end of the world, meeting at the same place and sharing the same birth date. Before knowing we shared the same birth date, we were already talking a little about music and dance. Apparently most South American men can Salsa or Latin Dance and I was pretty impressed. I was so excited to know someone sharing the same birthdate as me. This is definitely a first for me man! Enrique and his friend left about 3am and we exchanged contact. He actually knows the live band playing at Cuba Libre and mentioned going there for drinks and dance together. I love Cuba Libre and won't mind going again! :) Anyway, back to KTan. We were at Dragonfly for an hour from 4am but when the cantopop came onto the stage for their last set about 4.45am, we decided to leave. I was quite amused by the band as I have never been really a cheena or canto pop girl. KTan was grinning too but I did not ask much. We left about 5am and he sent me home. Poor him was so tired and he got to wake up about 8am to fetch his mum somewhere. I was kinda worried if he could drive being so tired so invited him into my house and made him a cup of hot tea. He was just sitting around for half an hour before going back. And I was dead beat after that! Though exhausted, I could not sleep after I showered about 6am. Went online to check some emails and finally slept at about 7am. It was a fun night. 2.30pm: Chicken Rice and Iced Tea 5pm: 1 Kiwi and 1 Orange 10pm: Half a BK Big Fish burger and Onion Rings Exercise: 30 crunches in the morning Sunday, 8 July 2007 Woke up about 11.30am to JM's sms on not being able to come fetch me for lunch. I did not want to go meet him without transport, so replied him we would do weekday lunch instead. Finally up about 12.30pm feeling sleepy but could not get back to bed. Had late lunch about 3pm before going for hair treatment.
Slacked somemore when I got back home then dinner about 8pm. It was a slow Sunday and I am still feeling sleepy. Thought about Jeff and he should be back tonight. Should be expecting a call or sms from him tomorrow. Gonna be a packed week starting tomorrow. In fact, I am dreading tomorrow already. Had wanted to go back office this weekend but did not. This means I will have to be in office early tomorrow morning to rush out a campaign proposal. I am out of idea. Argh. HELP. Need to think of something for August and September promotion.
