Thursday, 14 February 2008 Charmaine and I decided to double date on Valentine's Day so both of us celebrated with Roy and Ken, who is also Roy's good friend.

Appetizer - Escargot wrapped in Bacon. I don't quite like escargot so did not enjoy this.
Main Dish - Chicken wrapped with fish. Charmaine ordered this. Not bad.
Steak with Prawn. The rest of us ordered this. Quite nice except that I would prefer medium-rare (what I asked for) instead of medium.

Honeydew Pudding. Tasted horrible as it was not chilled.
After that, we waited an hour for our bill to come but to no avail. Eventually, Roy and Ken got to go queue at the cashier counter to pay which took another half an hour. Service was very bad. Really slow.
I understand that normally Shore Restaurant serves quite nice food and is a small family business. But all I can say for that Valentine's Day was a total flop. They could not manage such a big turnout yet they took in the reservations.
Even though the dinner was not so pleasant, I enjoyed the company. Thanks dear, for everything!
