Met up with Francis, Qiumei and Valerie today for dinner. Had not seen them since Salsa class and also a good chance for me to pass them what I got for them for my trip 3 weeks ago. Brought Meiqing's gift along too but she did not turn up. She mentioned on having Japanese Exam the next day but well, we knew she probably forgot about this dinner gathering.
Anyway, we went to Anatolia Turkish Restaurant at Far East Plaza. Recommended by Val, it was hidden at a corner and served pretty nice food at reasonable prices.

Francis ordered the set meal. Salad, Beef Doner and a canned drink. Val and Qiumei shared the Chicken Doner Pancake, The Sutlac, a Turkish rice pudding and Salad. They each had a canned drink. Willy joined us soon after and we two shared a set meal (Salad, Chicken Doner and a canned drink) and a pizza (forgot the Turkish name). Think the salad is really worth it. At $3 per plate, you can take anything from the Salad Bar, which has varieties like Pasta Salad, Chicken Salad, American Salad and all other sauces. Really yummy! The Doner Pancake is good too and I think the chicken one is better than the beef. The Sutlac is kinda sweet and very filling. Well, afterall it's rice so kinda expected. The pizza is good too but rather salty. I kept gluping my drink.
After the meal, Qiumei, Val and Francis had the traditional Turkish 'tricky' ice cream. Qiumei actually got her ice cream free and Val insisted that it was because she flirted with the French server. Kinda funny. Willy and myself were too full to have any desserts. We then went shopping at Far East Plaza. A very pleasant gathering and think I will see them for Salsa soon!
Val, Qiumei and me. My dearest friends from secondary school.
Salsa mates united! But hmm, Francis will only dance with his girlfriend and neglect us all!
Taking picture with our French ice cream server. Willy and Francis look so small behind us girls. Qiumei so enthusiastic to the Frenchman who gave her free ice cream!
