    Changes

Changes are inevitable, especially in the corporate world. I am never someone who shuns changes. In fact, I welcome them. I always feel that there is no need to be resistant to changes, cos they will happen one way or another. However, I got to admit that as receptive to changes as I am, it bothers me when I feel that the change is not going to be an efficient or productive one.

There are a lot of re-shufflements in my company and I will be switched to another department officially this Friday. To handle Tourism. I was surprised but quite receptive towards it cos I know I will be able to capitalise further on my strengths and hopefully to see the results soon. Though reluctant to leave my current team, this switch is the Managing Director's decision and I got to abide to it.

Bringing in new Tourism accounts will be a challenge but it's definitely possible, with Marketing & Operations support. However, I can't say that there is any support at all now in terms of collaterals. Hopefully my new boss will come up with the new process or workflow soon. Yes, we got to bring up the numbers but without anything to promote or entice new account, how to bring in the numbers?

As I said, if the change is a productive and well-structured one, I will be more than glad. But it disturbs me to know that I got to start from scratch without any support at all. On a lighter note, at least I will be out meeting coordinators and not have to think of the mess (if any) in office.

I mentioned about two months ago that it is time to move and I need a change. Well, I didn't expect such a change. Though a new learning experience, the path ahead will be littered with numerous obstacles. Got to pull up my socks and be ready for the bumpy ride ahead!
